Your family's journey to better, longer sleep starts here.
WELCOME TO THE LOVE TO DREAM™ SLEEP SERIES
Meet Hana-Lia Krawchuk, Founder of Love To Dream. Hear her story about sleepless nights as a new mom and sleep deprivation with her first child, the reason why we created the Love To Dream Sleep Series as a gift for all expecting parents, how the Sleep Series works and the information it covers.
INTRODUCTION NOTE – BEFORE YOU GET STARTED!
We’re really excited to share the Love To Dream™ Sleep Series with you but before you get started we need to tell you a few important things!
THINGS I WISH I KNEW ABOUT BABY SLEEP
Meet some of the experts from our Dream Team and hear about the things that Hana (and so many other moms) wishes she had known about babies and sleep before she left the hospital with her newborn. This is really valuable information for all expecting and new parents in the Philippines to know and remember - and will help in your journey with your baby to better, longer sleep.
THE FIRST FEW WEEKS
Meet Edwina, our expert midwife who takes you through some of the things that can happen in the first few weeks with a newborn and tips on how you can manage them. She also discusses when to start laying the foundations for healthy sleep with your baby.
INTRODUCING THE 4 FOUNDATIONS TO HEALTHY SLEEP
In the next few videos, our expert ‘Dream Team’ will take you through the 4 Foundations to Healthy Sleep. These are the foundations that help babies and children learn to sleep well. They are the same 4 Foundations our experts use with their clients’ babies and with their own babies too.
FOUNDATION1 PART I – SETTING UP DAY & NIGHT
In this episode our sleep angel, Courtney, takes you through Foundation 1 - which is all about our internal body clocks and setting up your baby's day and night.
FOUNDATION1 PART II – ESTABLISHING A DAYTIME RHYTHM
The second part of Foundation 1, after you've set up your baby's body clock and established day and night, is setting up a rhythm to your baby's day. In this episode, Courtney explains all about the Sleep-Feed-Uptime Cycle and how you can use it to develop a daytime rhythm or routine.
FOUNDATION 1 PART III: THE AFTERNOON & EVENING ROUTINE
The next step in Foundation 1 is about the afternoon and evening routine. This routine is key to helping your baby understand that the day is coming to an end and night-time is on its way. Hear about how the Sleep-Feed-Uptime Cycle changes in the afternoon and the steps you can take to help your baby prepare for their night-time sleep.
FOUNDATION 1 PART IV: THE NIGHTTIME ROUTINE
The final step in Foundation 1 is all about the night-time routine and helping to support your baby towards longer stretches of overnight sleep.
FOUNDATION 2: THE IDEAL SLEEP ENVIRONMENT
Where your baby sleeps, and how you set up their sleep space, can make all the difference to the way they fall asleep and stay asleep. In this lesson our sleep angel, Courtney, shares her tips on creating the perfect baby sleeping environment. These are the same tips and explanations she shares with all of the families she works with.
SWADDLING AND DRESSING BABY FOR SLEEP
From the time they take their newborn home, all parents have their own baby sleep questions. Two questions that come up time and time again are 'how many layers should I dress my baby in for sleep?' and 'what's the best way to swaddle my baby?'.
FOUNDATION 3 – RESPONDING TO TIRED SIGNS
Just like us, babies need their sleep to feel well-rested, content, and to function at their best. In this lesson, you'll hear about how much sleep a baby needs, a bit about sleep cycles and learning to read your baby's tired signs so you can know exactly when to put them down for a sleep.
WHY IS MY BABY CRYING?
Crying is one of the few ways your baby can communicate with you. They're expressing themselves the best way they can - and it can mean so much. Hearing your baby cry can be heartbreaking, but learning their different cries can help you work out how they're feeling and what they need from you.
FOUNDATION 4: SELF-SOOTHING & SETTLING ASSISTANCE
Self-soothing, also known as self-settling, is the skill to fall asleep on your own, without any help. It's a strong skill for your baby to develop as they get older - and a lifesaver for you too. All babies can learn to self-soothe with the right, gentle support.
BACK TO BASICS: WHEN THINGS DON’T GO ACCORDING TO PLAN
We hate to say it, but we're all human so it's bound to happen at some point: there are going to be days when it feels like nothing is going according to plan and no matter what you try, your little one just won't settle. In this lesson, Hana, Edwina and Courtney discuss what to do on days like these and they teach you about the 'Back to Basics' technique. A great way to break the cycle, help your baby settle and get everyone back on track.

You've made it to the final lesson in our Sleep Series. We've covered so much that you're probably wondering, how do I weave all of these tips, tricks and Foundations together? In this episode, Courtney shows you how.
